Steffi has worked in event sustainability with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi for over 7 years. The program specializes in reducing waste generated at events while turning waste into resources such as composting leftover food. 

She attended the University of Hawaiʻi where she took every Hoʻomana Hawaiʻi course offered observing the connection between ʻāina and indigenous religions. Steffi lives in Hauʻula with her husband staying busy on their small organic farm specializing in microgreens, exotic fruits, coconuts, flowers, chili peppers, and reef-safe/plastic free sunscreen. She can be found surfing, lifting weights, helping people sort their trash, or cooking invasive species with vegetables from her garden.
